Before you install: a quick checklist

  • Your parking spot: is it allotted to you, covered or open, and how far is it from your electricity meter?
  • Permissions: in shared buildings the society or association usually signs off on cabling and meters.
  • Power supply: a charger adds load; your installer will tell you if the connection needs an upgrade.
  • Your car: its on-board charger decides how fast it can charge, so share the model with the installer.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to send an enquiry?

Nothing. The enquiry is free and there is no obligation. We call you back, ask about your parking and power supply, and put you in touch with an EV charger installer or charging company in your area.

What kind of charger should I get?

For a personal car parked overnight, an AC wall charger of roughly 3–7 kW is usually enough. Workplaces and residential complexes often choose 11–22 kW AC chargers, while public and highway sites use DC fast chargers of 30 kW or more.

Do I need permission to install a charger in a residential complex?

In most cases the building society or residents' association must approve the cable route and any new meter, and the electricity load may need to be raised. A qualified electrician should check the installation.

Can a business or parking owner offer EV charging to the public?

Yes. Charging companies look for sites with good access, space and power. Share your location and available load and we will help you find a partner.
